Wild Strawberries – Wrong To Let You Go (feat. Robert Michaels)

Song Details

Energy Level

“Wrong To Let You Go” by Wild Strawberries, a husband-and-wife duo comprised of Ken and Roberta Harrison, hit the top 10 in Canada in 2000. It first appeared on volume 3 of the Canadian-exclusive compilation album series Women & Songs and later on the Wild Strawberries album Twist. The concept for the track was defined by Alan Fletcher, executive producer at Warner Music Canada, after Roberta sang at his wedding alongside flamenco guitarist Robert Michaels. A year later, the song was noticed by German DJ/producer ATB, who, in a significant departure from his more club-oriented sound, released a remixed version titled “Let U Go” under Kontor Records in Germany and Radikal Records in the U.S. as part of his 2001 album Dedicated. It became a pop crossover hit for ATB, and was his biggest hit in Germany, reaching number 7, and peaked at number 34 in the UK.
